At Independence K9, our mission is to empower and equip LEOs, military personel or private sector security professionals aspiring to certify as handlers or trainers with the skills and confidence necessary to excel in the working dog field. Our comprehensive 12-week K9 immersion course is meticulously designed to provide a strong foundation in K9 psychology and the fundamental principles of obedience to prepare our students for success in obtaining certification. Through our specialized training modules, students will gain proficiency in critical disciplines, including detection dog handling, patrol/personal protection dog handling, and tracking. We also expertly provide an introduction to the specialized fields of service and therapy dogs, ensuring a well-rounded and versatile skill set. Our curriculum is crafted to prepare every student for success. We are committed to ensuring you are fully prepared to pass the rigorous certification tests from two of the most respected organizations in the industry: the American Working Dog Association (AWDA) and the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen program.
